I have a very young kitten at home and it has diarrhea. What should I do?

In your case, deworming is definitely needed, even several times, because one of the causes of diarrhea could be worms. There are of course other causes of diarrhea -- such as a viral infection -- so a visit to the vet is definitely recommended.
