Siberian Cat

Skupina Code
2 SIB

The Siberian Cat is part of the group of semi-longhaired cats. It is a medium-sized cat, densely coated, with a robust body. The head is distinctive, somewhat longer, placed on an elegant, yet muscular neck. The ears are erect, medium-sized, with thick tufts of hairs. Ear tufts on the tip of an ear are distinctive. Eyes are a bit oblique, oval and usually green. The nose is broad and relatively long; in profile it shows a slight indentation, but without stop. The body is long, well boned and strongly built. The legs are of medium length and strong, in harmony with the body. Paws are large, round, well tufted between the toes. The tail is long, thick, covered by dense hair and should reach to the neck. The water repellent coat is the main feature and advantage of Siberian Cat. It is a rich dense coat, which, thanks to the cover hairs, does not shed, and can be easily maintained. The quality distinctly differs according to season of the year- the summer coat is short, the winter coat is by far longer and denser, with a giant frill, shirtfront and knickerbockers. The cat is classified into one of nine groups, depending on its colour: Group I: Black/Blue; Group II: Black/Blue with white; Group III: Black/Blue agouti OR Black/Blue golden; Group IV: Black/Blue agouti with white OR Black/Blue golden with white; Group V: Red/Cream/Tortie solid/agouti OR Red/Cream/Tortie golden; Group VI: Red/Cream/Tortie solid/agouti with white OR Red/Cream/Tortie golden with white; Group VII: Black/Blue/Red/Cream smoke/silver OR Tortie smoke OR Tortie silver; Group VIII: Black/Blue/Red/Cream smoke/silver with white OR Tortie smoke with white OR Tortie silver with white; and Group IX: White with blue, orange, green or odd eyes.
